“I found a sanctuary in music at a young age knowing that my headphones could take me to a new world”.

 

At 8 years old, Prisca discovered the record button on her cassette players, so she began experimenting with melodies, harmonies, and combining them with lyrics.

 

Influenced by her first concert, Etta James and BB King instilled a soulfulness that would sift into each piece of music she would write to this day. Compelled by her combination of piano based melodies and classic songwriting, production company Bravo Ocean didn’t hesitate to have her join their team. “We were looking for a writer who writes simple and great songs that connects emotions, lyric, melody, imagery & truth. Prisca’s songs did this across multiple genres” says Nick Chahwala of Bravo Ocean.

 

Nick first discovered Prisca at a local music shop were she was doing her best to sell him studio monitors. One hour past closing and with a unique goodbye exchange, Nick left with brand new speakers and Prisca’s demo CD. Three months later, the permanent marker-stained hand-made demo found it’s way into Nick’s cd player during a drive from Atlanta to New York. Within the first 30 seconds, he knew it would be the only thing he listened to for the next 16 hours.

 

Since then, the two have worked side by side. Prisca has been called upon to write for both independent and label artists in the likes of Justin Bieber, Jessie McCartney, Ulrika, Kandace Springs, The Voice, American Idol, and many others.
